STEPS
TOOLS

Gather your supplies. (I had already done the mani at this point, so my sponge is dirty.)
Make sure you are in a room with no breeze, so your polish doesn't ripple or smudge.

Clean all polish off your nails, and file/shape them. Clean any dirt from under nails.

Apply a base coat. I honestly don't remember where I got this, but it is wonderful. Dries very quickly.

Apply black nail polish. I used two coats of LA Color.

I used Sally Hansen Maximum Growth Plus for the next step.

Put a couple of drops of white nail polish onto your plastic bag. Press the narrow end of your makeup sponge into the polish, and lightly press the sponge in any direction on nails.

After I applied white polish.

For the following step, I used NYC Long Wearing Nail Enamel in Wine Bar.

Put a couple of drops of your next lightest color onto the plastic bag, and repeat the sponge process from step 6.

I applied Wine Bar directly over the white, overlapping it onto the black a bit.

I then applied more white to either side of the Wine Bar. I felt the other colors wouldn't stand out well, so I'm using the white as sort of a palette.

I repeated the plastic>sponge>nail process again, this time using Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in "Going Grape." This color has a bit of glitter, unlike the previous colors.

After applying "Going Grape."

I then applied Sinful Colors in "Nova" (how appropriate!!) to my nail. It is hard to tell in this picture, but this is a navy blue color with lots of holographic sparkles.

After application of Nova.

Next, apply two coats of a fine glitter. I believe this is a Hard As Nails color. I picked all the stickers off :/
After glitter application. I planned to add white stars using a safety pin (you can see remnants on my thumb) but I did not like how it looked.
If you feel any of the colors are not blending well, use the wide side of the sponge, and press lightly all over your nail.

Of course, the last step is your top coat. Then, use the acetone and a q-tip or small paintbrush to clean up around your nails.
Now clean up with the acetone and q-tips!

All done! This was my first try. Hope you liked it!
