From your stance, prepare to swing the rear leg forwards and up.
Swing the leg up and over, in preparation to chop down through the target. You can bring it up slightly off center in order to avoid clashing the leg through the target as you swing up.
The leg swings up above the top of the target at full height. Make sure the leg is straight.
Drive the kicking leg down as forcefully as possible through the target. As you have struck the target control the leg as it descends back down, making sure not to send it crashing into the ground.
Land forwards neatly with control ready for the next movement.
