Find a place to hang your bridle
Make a small diagram to remember what holes all the buckles were at
Take apart your whole bridle
Go over your whole bridle with a damp sponge (with water). This is just to get off all the dirt and loosen the bridle up.
Be sure to get ALL the dirt off.
Now go over all your bridle pieces again with your damp sponge with Lexol on it. If you need more Lexol, dampen your sponge with water again before putting the Lexol on the sponge.
Taking a separate, damp and clean sponge, dip it in olive oil
Apply the oil lightly and evenly. (Just a note, only use olive oil on your tack once every few months/a few times a year. Oiling too often will leave a residue)
Before oil on the right and after on the left
Wipe the whole bridle once more with a damp sponge, cleaning any leftover oil
Go over all your buckles with a stainless steel wipe
Put your bridle back together
To clean your bit, a round it the dishwasher will have it sparkling
Enjoy your clean, soft bridle!
