First, gather all of your supplies. The main thing you will be needing is a notebook. It doesn't matter what kind, but I personally prefer a composition notebook because their easier to work with.
To create the checkered notebook you will need to have 2 washi tape patterns. Starting with the first one, cut equal strips of the tape and align them equally apart on the notebook.
Now, with the second washi tape pattern, do the same exact thing, but in the opposite direction. Be sure to leave a little excess tape on the side and fold it onto the front flap of the notebook...
To ensure that the tape will stay all year without fraying or coming loose.
To create the diagonal striped notebook, you will only need 1 color of the tape. Start by placing a strip of tape in your desired location. Then, using a sharp/X-acto knife, cut the excess tape off.
Keep doing the same thing for each strip and evenly space the tape apart. When you are finished it should look like the picture above. This pattern is super simple and really quick!
There you have it! Two washi tape notebooks. To finish it off, be sure to add a label and write down the class name on it, that way you can grab it quicker when it's time for class. ☺️
