Roll out chilled cookie dough till about 1/2 inch thick

Use various Halloween shaped cookie cutters

Press firmly into rolled dough

Place cut out cookies on parchment covered cookie sheet and bake a 350F for about 7 min or very lightly browned

Spoon powdered sugar into a bowl and add milk or water a little at a time until just slightly drizzly.

Add black food colouring to one bowl

And red to another powdered sugar

Spread icing on cookies leaving a small uncoloured edge

Colour in various shapes

Once initial colour dries, add some embellishments of a different colour

Try out various spooky designs

Play around with your designs, have fun experimenting

Leave on tray dry completely
