STEPS
TOOLS
Take your plain lanterns and decorate them for Christmas.
Collect your supplies.
Put fresh batteries in your candles.
The key to this look is to use fake snow crystals. I'm not sure what it's called but it's like glass and is heavy. If you skip this item, you won't get the right look. Pour the crystals in the bottom.
Put together a few stems of flowers and berries. Arrange them until you like how they look.
Bend the stems then wrap with wire to hold the bunch together.
Center the candle in the crystals then place the stems behind the candle.
Place a single flower in front of the candle on the opposite side.
Play with the placement until you like it.
Thread your button with wire. The buttons I'm using are different than standard buttons so I had to thread two pieces of wire per button.
Twist the wire behind the button so it's ready to affix to the bow.
I cut a 20" length of ribbon and looped it into a bow. Pinch the center and hold it in one hand.
Affix the button the the front of the bow by wrapping the wire around, then twisting at the back.
Next add a sprig of berries by twisting the wire around the stem. Bend the stem of the berries to stop it from slipping out, then trim the stem with wire cutters.
Wrap the wire around the lantern hanger.
So simple, anyone can do it.
