A Note About Yarn I've used Lily Sugar and Creme and Peaches and Creme on this pattern and they turn out sturdy and tight. I like this yarn best because its 100% cotton. Easy washing!
Hook Size I've tried this with an H, trust me, go get a G. It is worth it. Also, an understanding of basic stitches is required. Sc, dc, hdc, and tr.
Chain 18. (Not too tight)
Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across. Ch 2, Turn.
Ch 2 Does Not Count as first stitch. So when you hdc across, start in the stitch closest to your hook. Where my hook is. If a turning ch does count, you will start in the 2nd stitch, next to my finger
Ch 1, Turn. Does not count as first stitch. Sc across.
Turn. Ch 4. Now, this ch 4 Does count. So tr in 2nd stitch and each across.
Turn. Ch 1, (does not count), sc across. 1 sc in top of ch 4. Turn
Ch 3, counts as first dc. Dc across. Turn.
Ch 2, (does not count) hdc across. 1 hdc in 3rd of ch 3. Turn.
Ch 3, (counts. In case you forgot, this means you skip the first stitch), dc in each across. Turn.
Ch 1, (does Not count), sc across. Turn.
Almost done! (4 more rows). Ch 4, (counts), tr across, Turn.
Ch 1, (does not count), sc across. 1 sc in top of ch 4. Turn
Ch 2, (does Not count), hdc across, Turn.
Ch 1, (does not count), sc across. Fasten off. You're done!
Enjoy you're new coaster! Or make a few more and let someone else enjoy them.
