An intermediate skill level project that requires very little few materials, very little practice and has a stunning effect!

First step is preparing your floral gem. Either leave the gem as is, or use aluminum sealing tape on the backside of the gem to enhance the color and luminance of the pendant!

Supplies look like this. I use the large floral gems, but experiment with wire gauges and gem size to taste. I used a clear gem for this guide for easy viewing, but use whatever color you want!

Create a small loop at one end of the smaller gauge (thicker) wire. You can do this with your round nose pliers. Don't squeeze too hard! You want the wire to remain nice and notch free! :D

Now create a large loop/ring below the small loop of wire. Use the gem as a guide. You want this loop to be slightly larger than the gem so as to create a frame.

Begin the wrap by tightly coiling the thin wire twice over the frame.

Pull the thin wire over to top left of the frame an wrap twice. Pull behind to the top right and wrap twice.

Place the gem into the wires between the top and bottom layers. It should slide right in. Pull the thin wire over the gem to the top left. Wrap twice!

Snip excess wire. Lightly pinch wire closed around the frame so no points stick up. If gem is loosely fit, pinch wires around the gem at the three points to tighten. Done!
