How to create valentines lace nails

Add a shimmery or sheer background

Take your polish brush that came with your polish and add a pretty thick line. Make sure the top is round. It may take a couple tries.

Add a second one slightly shorter

And a third. These should not be the same height, however they should all be equally thick.

Here are all the nails. For a beginner you may stop here. However, to become better you may want to try the next step.

Now do the previous 3 steps in white. These lines should be slightly smaller than the red.

Now once you have all nails painted lets go into detail.

Add small red dots to the top of each red hump. Using a toothpick is preferred, because you need tiny dots. There should be 3 red dots.

Now add 3 red dots to the top center of each white line.

This gives a lace look. Lace is sheer, and this gives a sheer look. Also you can see the nail looks thick at the tip. Don't worry about this. A good dry, and topcoat will cure this.

Now this is for those who want great detail, and don't mind the extra work. You will need longer nails for this to work properly. Add red lines over the white, using the same steps as you did before

Create small white dots within the red to give that sheer lace look.
