STEPS
TOOLS

Spread white gesso on your background with a palette knife. Limit to a triangle-shaped area slightly larger than your photo. Dry.

Randomly color on top of the gesso with a few colors making patches. Keep color theory in mind.

Use a waterbrush to spread the colors on top of the gesso first. Then working into the fully-colored areas. Notice how differently the colors react with the gesso. Dry using a heat tool.

Use a stencil as a guide to add little circles. Go over the shapes with a waterbrush to soften the look. Dry.

Add splashes of color with a stamp. Wet the stamp a little using a sprayer, then rub the pencil on top. Stamp to your background and dry.

Use the watercolor pencils one more time and draw lines to guide the eye to the photo. Just a few lines, or circles, will suffice. Use a regular pencil also, if you like, for contrast.

Finish the background with stamping, then layer patterned papers underneath your photo. Compose using different patterned papers, mixing in a few solids as well.

Add the embellishments and the title. Just a few roses and a big title will do.

Finish the page with hand-written journaling, crystals, and a few watercolor touches to the roses (to make them coordinate with the page even more.)
