How to create shimmer flowers w/ faber castell & g45

Cut out flower shapes with Tattered Floral die from Sizzix.

Run the petals through an embossing folder for texture.

Paint the petals with Faber Castell gesso. This will help the Gelatos run smoother.

Color the entire surface of the flower with a Faber Castell Gelato.

Moisten your finger and run it over the flower. With the gesso the gelato will flow smooth over the surface.

Draw starburst lines over the top of the flower.

Spritz with water and watch the color meld.

Color the tips/edges of the flower with blue gelato and smooth out with your fingertip and a bit of water.

With your fingers wrinkle the petals inward and outward to give some movement to your flower.

Stack your petals and with a ball flower shaping tool, push down in the center to give the final ruffle to your flower. Now your ready to adorn it on your Graphic 45 project.
