How to create mixed media project by kristie taylor

Tear the front piece of paper off of a piece of corrugated cardboard that has been cut to 12"x12".

Dry brush Gesso or what craft paint onto the Cardboard.

Tear the edges of a piece of smooth white cardstock till the piece is approx. 10"x10".

Distress the edges by using the edge of a pair of scissors.

Spray Art anthology Colorations, "Guacamole, and Studio blue, around the edges of the Kraft cardstock.

Use your fingers or a sponge to spread Art anthology paint around the edges of the white cardstock.

Use a palette knife to spread Texture paste through a stencil.

Spread another color through the Art anthology "Cracked" stencil, then add matte medium to a color and splatter onto the white background.

Spray Art anthology colorations through a art anthology stencil.

Stamp on the background if desired. Use scissors to make holes in the cardstock so that the cardboard shows, then use your fingers to curl the edges which adds drama. Add pieces of burlap ribbon.

add embellishments

if you would like to color white paper flowers, they can be sprayed with Colorations. and its all done!
