Choose some pattern papers (I'm using G45 Come Away with Me paper collections here) for my suitcases... Gather your supplies; list at bottom left hand corner of this guide...

Ink the edges of the matchboxes using a solvent-based ink... I'm using StazOn in timber brown here...

Ink the edges of the matchbox drawers as well... These are the areas where papers cannot cover...

Using the matchbox as a gauge, measure and trim the piece of pattern paper out by wrapping around the matchbox cover...

The piece of pattern paper should wrap around the matchbox cover nicely... If you see any flagging edges, trim them accordingly...

Starting from one end, glue the pattern paper onto the matchbox using glossy accent or any fine tip glue...

Then fold over the pattern paper and glue on the other side of the matchbox... Continue this till u finish adhering the pattern paper over the matchbox cover...

Measure and trim various pattern papers for the insides of the matchbox drawer... I've chosen 3 different pattern papers for this...

Starting from the base, glue down the pattern paper...

Then to the sides...

And finally this is what you will be getting...

Measure and trim various pattern papers for the outsides of the matchbox drawer... Then glue down the sides first as shown...

Then wrap around and glue down the base...

And now the matchbox has been lined with pattern papers... You can slide in the drawer to the cover...

Trim 2 very thin strips of pattern papers... These will be the strips of the suitcase...

Wrap around on the matchbox and glue it down...

Repeat for the other strip, and this is what you will get...

Use the remaining strip of pattern paper, make a small handle like this...

Then glue it in between the 2 strips... And you are done with a mini matchbox suitcase...

For a broader suitcase, glue 2 matchboxes together... Then wrap around with a pattern paper... And repeat from Step 8 onwards...

This is how the suitcases will look like... You can add some little treasures inside the drawers for keepsaking... Enjoy!!!
