Gather Supplies: Scissors, Spray Bottle with water, Lighter, and Mixed Media paper

Gather Supplies: Scissors, Spray Bottle with water, Lighter, and Mixed Media paper

Use the lighter to light the mixed media paper on fire.

Hold the paper vertical so the flame travels as far up the page as possible. (if horizontal the fire will burn the page black and will crumble and curve in instead of producing a golden brown effect)

Quickly use the spray bottle filled with water to put out the fire  before it gets out of hand/ when you are happy with the golden effect.

Create and cut out a stencil of the shape you want to replicate with the fire stained pattern. In this case: create a hexagon stencil
