Cut three pieces out of cardstock 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Score 2 of the cardstock pieces on the 5.5" side at 1 3/4" and 4 1/2"
Burnish the fold lines with a bone folder. The small section should be folded to the back while the wider section is folded toward the front.
Apply scor-tape or glue to the narrow flap on the inside as shown.
Peel the tape backing off or glue the narrow flap to the back of the piece of cardstock that you cut. Attach one to each end--see next photo.
The easiest way is to lay the flap piece down as shown and place the card back over the section that has no adhesive and fold the adhesive section onto the back and burnish.
The back of your card will look like this once both flap sections have been attached.
Turn your card over and the front will look like this.
If you are using a ribbon closure, cut a piece of ribbon about 24" long.
Place a piece of scor-tape to the back (outside) of your card base as shown.
Peel the tape backing off and attach down the ribbon leaving the ends loose that will wrap around to the front.
Select your patterned papers. Cut and ink 2 each 5 3/8" wide x 4 1/8 " tall, 4 each 1 1/2" wide x 4 1/8" tall, 4 each @2 5/8" wide x 4 1/8" tall and 1 each 2" wide x 3 1/8" tall
Glue the patterned paper piece you've selected into the center back (front) of your card between the flaps.
Turn your card over with the back facing you and attached the patterned paper you selected onto the back (outside) over the ribbon that is attached down.
To keep your ribbon out of the way while you pattern the remaining sections of your card, loosely tie it in a bow toward the back of the card.
Ink all the patterned paper pieces you cut out for the remaining sections of your card.
Glue or use your favorite adhesive to attach the papers into each section.
On the front left flap of the front, attach a small piece of scor-tape as shown.
Mat a cut apart card to cardstock and then center and attach it to the LEFT flap only. If you don't have a cut apart, cut and attach another matted patterned paper piece from your paper collection.
Cut and ink 1 piece of patterned paper 4" x 3" and attach into the inside center of the card.
Open up the card and attach the 2" wide x 3 1/8" tall piece to the back of the cut apart piece that is not attached own to the front of the card to give the inside a finished look as shown.
Cut a piece of cream, white or kraft cardstock 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" and attach to the center of the patterned piece inside you card where you can write your message.
Close up your card and pull the ribbon around and tie in a bow to keep it closed. Optional: Glue on flowers to the left corner of the cut apart.
