How to create fairy grass nails!

I've been inspired by lots of different tutorials on these nails-this is pretty simple but I really like it and it's so easy. It's up to you what colours you use and how you interpret the design too.

Start by painting your nails the light green colour, I've gone for a china glaze lime-remember before painting any colour onto your nails, use a base coat!

Paint just the tips with a darker green, it doesn't have to be neat or gradiated (is that a word? I don't think it is...) the messier the better! Sort of ;)

Before you dot white 'fairies' onto the nail, paint a sparkly/shimmery green over the bottom half-use a thin brush or striper to create a grass like effect. (Sorry If the photo isn't very clear)

Using the same photo, sorry forgot to take pictures for both steps. After painting on your 'grass' you can just randomly dot white or a shimmery silver, these are your fairies!

To finish just paint over a top coat or a very fine glitter/shimmer gold colour, something that won't cover up the design too much. I've used a very fine, practically clear goldy polish.

I love this because it's so easy, you don't have to be very careful. I kept this on for over 2 days which is saying a lot seeing as my manicures don't usually last 24 hours (I get bored...)

I didn't take a pic for the last step, but I always go around the nail bed and cuticle with a thin brush dipped in acetone, hate messy cuticles! It makes all the difference, promise ya.
