A decadent Asian-inspired beef half rib meal

STEPS
INGREDIENTS
Ingredients -- (I cheated and marinated the meat earlier today and forgot to take pictures during the process)
Slice up chives removing part of the white end and discarding; this will be used for both the marinade and with the bok choy (I used another 3 for the marinade)
Peel the skin off of the ginger similar to peeling a potato
Shave thinly
Smash garlic
Skin will come off easily :)
Marinated ribs in soy sauce, olive oil, sesame, ginger, garlic and scallions
Remove top from onion
Slice down the middle, then each half in half - then cube
Remove stems from mushrooms then cut into cubes and rinse
Separate bok choy and remove part of the white end
Cut into chunks and rinse
Toast sesame seeds in dry pan
Add olive oil and heat up
Sauté garlic
Then onions, then ginger, then sesame seeds
Add in carrots and crumbled half vegetable bullion
Add scallions and water at high heat, cover and simmer
Realize you added probably too much water and remove lid to let some evaporate
Add bok choy to pan
Cover to wilt bok choy
Add in mushrooms, soy sauce and additional sesame and sauté (covered or not)
Put vegetables in side dish when ready
Toast basmati rice in pan
Add water to cover rice and some salt and olive oil; mix constantly and add water as needed
Preheat grill pan for about 5 minutes
Place ribs face down in pan to brown
Turn to brown on every side; then broil in oven (time will depend on thickness of meat and the temp you want the meat to cook to - I flipped mine over once and cooked for 25 minutes or so)
Don't they look delicious!? **Note: I actually poured the marinade back over the meat before putting in oven
Plate beautifully and make someone fall in love :-* As always, if you would like and tell me how it turns out for you! Follow me for more inspired recipes :)
