Roll out slab about 1/2 inch thick

Cut out shapes, strategically fitting in as many as you can. Roll up excess, wedge it and roll out a new slab to make more, if needed.

Scratch both surfaces where shapes will overlap, in a cross cross manner. Rub water on both surfaces

Overlap and press together, repeat until dish is complete, leave negative space for sculptural interest. Let air dry, loosely wrapped for several days,

If using air dry clay, use acrylic paint and apply two layers of clear varnish or gloss medium. If kiln firing, do a bisque fire, then glaze and do a glaze firing. Stay tuned for pic of final project!
