How to create a soaring wings altered light bulb
Create a Soaring Wings Altered Light Bulb

STEPS
TOOLS

Add clear gesso to the large flame, as well as the small flaming heart, from the Relics and Artifacts Flaming Hearts set.

Mix Rust Mica Powder with a bit of water & paint the Flaming Heart resin pieces. Do not paint the center heart. Next use use R&A wings or cardboard wings. Paint those with the Rust Mica mix as well.

Using a baby wipe lightly rub away color from the raised parts of the flaming heart pieces. This will help define their amazing details.

Mix some magenta oil pastel with a watercolor brush and color the detail around the outside of the heart, then wipe off excess. This will allow the small circle details to pop.

Now attach both the large flame and the small flaming heart to the light bulb as shown. NOTE - the light bulb has had the inside removed. I have used Helmar Quick Dry glue to attach my resin pieces.

Now attach the wings to the underside of the Flaming Heart.

Next I attached my bulb to an R&A small wooden easel, then decorated it with ribbon and a crystal. Tuck a short set of Prima Lumies inside the bulb leaving the switch accessible.
