Spray paint entire piece in black

Spray the piece with any color shine spray. I used Color Bloom 2 Dragonfly Blue. Any shimmery spray will work.then I added glitter to the edges of a butterfly wing and then glued it in place

I then added Gold Metallic Lustre to the raised parts
