How to create a little cake for one

All you need is a cake mix, ready to spread frosting, and a muffin or cupcake pan.

Prepare cake mix according to package directions. Do not use cupcake liners. Coat pan with cooking spray. Divide batter among the cups in the pan and bake according to package directions.

Let cool about 10 minutes.

Loosen each cake with a knife and remove from pan.

Turn this little cake upside down so the result will not resemble a cupcake.

Frost all sides generously!

Decorate to your heart's content.
