Heartfelt Creations created a tutorial for a gift envelope at https://www.heartfeltcreations.us/blog/613/ez-gift-card-envelope-tutorial. I will show you a modified version of how I do it.

I will be using this gift card envelope for the tutorial. The finished gift card envelope for this one measures 4 " x 5 1/2".

I used the steps in the Heartfelt Creations tutorial of cutting the paper 7" x 12 and scoring at 4" and 8" for the other card but this one I cut 5 1/2" x 12.

At times, I would change the width and length of the card depending what I plan to insert in it as long as the length is not over 12". Otherwise, you will need to add more paper.

I love the Scor-Tape and will tear this tape off to apply on the back of the front of the card.

Scor-Tape is important for me since I can peel it off at times to rearrange it on the paper and it will keep on sticking most of the time.

I ended up cutting 1" off the end and peeled off the Scor-Tape. Adhere it to the back of this paper. If you are using a different sized border, you will cutting more or less off the end of the paper.

I used Heartfelt Creations Daisy die and stamp set. Apply glue to the center of flower and sprinkled Prills-Go-Man-Go. To add roundness to the center, add an extra drop of glue and reapply Prills.

Inside of card - For this border, I measured 1" and drew a line to line up this Heartfelt Creations border die. Also, trace the inside part of the border and cut around the curves.

Making sure magnets are in the right place and on the magnetic sides, I taped magnets to paper and test before gluing. If you get the wrong magnetic side, the magnetics won't stick together.

Fold at the score line. Before gluing it inside the card, test the length in the fold and cut off any additional length before adding Scor-Tape to take inside the card.

Peel off Scor-Tape and tape to the edge of the envelope next to the fold. Next, fold the card and have that tape stick to the other end. Do this again for the other side.

I added the Happy Birthday and For My Friend which is found in the Heartfelt Creation stamp sets. The Birthday sentiment is in the HC Petunia collection.
