Try the tank top on to see where you want the fringe to start. We're just going to eyeball-it and mark the spot with the marker.

After you've made a mark on the shirt, use your ruler and draw a very thin line across. This will ensure you that your fringes will be even all the way across (you can use a pencil for this step).

After you've drawn the line, fold the tank upwards until the fold is at the initial mark. Fold the back as well, making sure that the fold is even with the front.

Make the first cut in a random part of the shirt, and from there on, use your thumb width as a guide for how far apart you should make your cuts. ※ Again, you can just eyeball these measurements!

As you can see, the increments aren't precise. You can measure out each part if you want accuracy, but it's not necessary.

Now take your scissors and cut downward into the fold. Be careful of the fabric underneath!! (※ I took this picture before making increments, but yours should already be marked at this stage!)

Don't forget to cut the back! Repeat the same steps you took for the front fold.

Your shirt should look like this after you've cut both sides.

Now the fun part! Put your tank on once more, and pull each section cut downward. This is what creates that skinny fringe.

Finished! Of course, if you want the fringe to be shorter, you can trim it, and depending on where you want the fringe to start, you can cut further up or down. Totally customizable!

I'll be pairing it with my favorite denim shorties when I head out to a music festival this summer! Where will you wear this look to? ♥♥
