How to create a formative assessment using kahoot!

Create your free account at getkahoot.com, and then log in at the top right of your screen.

Sign in and get ready to create your Kahoots!

Create a quiz or survey from this screen. Later, you can find your created quizzes under the Me button at the top left of the screen.

Name your quiz.

Start entering questions. For vocab reviews, I just make the word the 'question' and the answers are definitions. You need to mark which answer is correct, and you can adjust time limits from here.

When you are ready to play, make sure you are mirroring to a projector so your students can see.

Click launch to activate the game.

Your students will see this screen, and will know which number to enter. They need to go to kahoot.it. No other log in or information is required.

Students enter their real names, and then you can view the results in real time or download a report at the end of the game. This is a great tool for formative assessment!
