How to create a fishtail braid

First separate the section of hair you wish to braid from the rest of the hair. ( I'm using my sister's American girl doll)

Then seperate the section onto two

Then take a strand from the outside of the left section and cross it over

Next, take a strand from the outside of the right side and cross over. Continue the steps going left, right, left until you get it as long as you want it

Done! Now you have a beautiful fishtail braid!!
