First we will work on the left page.
Trim Ode to a Buterfly to 10x12" & cut a strip from Botanical News 2.5x12". Ink all the edges. Adhere the strip of Botanical News over top the larger sheet so that combined they form a 12x12" sq.
Cut a 2 x 8.25" piece from Secret Garden and a 1.5 x 6.75" piece from Summer Sonata. Ink the edges of both pieces.
Cut a 6" circle from Botanical News and a 4 7/8 x 10.5" rectangle from Birds in Paradise. Ink the edges of both. Now that we've cut our layers, we'll begin assembly of the first page.
Adhere the larger dark strip about 3/8" from the right side of the page and 1 7/8" from the bottom. Adhere the gold strip over top about 1" from the side of the page & 2 5/8" from the bottom as shown
Now add the large green rectangle about 2" from the side of the page and 3/8" from the bottom overlapping the other layers as shown.
Cut the circle in half and adhere as shown in the photo, about 2" from the top of the page. Save the other half of the circle for another use.
Mat your photos on dark brown or black cardstock. Then add your photos to the layout as shown. This is the basic design of the 1st page. We'll add enbellishments later.
Now it's time to move on to the right side page.
Cut the layers for page 2 as follows: Botanical News-5x10.25" (punch around the border) ; Birds in Paradise-5.5 x 10.5" and 4x8"; scraps from Summer Sonata-2 pieces @ 1x4". Ink the edges
Center and adhere the houndstooth check over the green patterned paper.
Layer the smaller green piece over the houndstooth check using the opposite side of the paper and adhering 3/4" from the right side.
Adhere these layers to the base paper, Secret Garden, about 2 7/8' from the top and 3/4" from the right side.
Tuck in the two gold scraps as shown, leaving about 3/4" visible.
Mat your photo & add to the layout as shown. Add a title using letters from the cardstock stickers. Add the large journaling sticker 3/4" from the bottom & in line with the above layers.
Spray or paint on mist to color the Creative Embellishments pine branches.
Let's embellish the left page. Add the pine branch as shown in the photo. Add some flowers, chipboard buttons, a Prima metal piece. Use what you have on hand.
Then on the right side page, add some trees and the pine branch. Embellish with flowers or whatever you have.
