How to create a custom home office

Identify the space you want your desk to take up, take multiple measurements

For me, I started with creating wainscoting treatments on the walls, which framed the room, and then built custom lower cabin yes for the desk base

After the bases were installed I created the top, from sturdy birch plywood

Here you can see it starting to take shape!

Paint, trim and hardware installed on the desk base. For the top of the desk, I used a polycrilic top coat for easy cleaning and to protect the paint.

Next step is to start the upper shelving units

Once uppers completed and installed, just paint and trim needs to be completed

The best part about creating your own furniture is the ability to make changes. I added a separate shelf to raise the computer monitors and hide laptop docking stations
