Begin with a small Dixie Cup.

Use scissors to cut an odd number of slits from the top of the cup ALMOST all of the way down to the bottom of the cup.

Choose a color of yarn.  Begin by pulling the strand of yarn through one if the slits in the cup, all the way to the bottom of the slit.

Using an over and under motion, weave the yarn through the slits of the cup.  As you weave around the cup, gently push the yarn down so that the yarn is always pushed as far down as it will go.
