STEPS
TOOLS
I started with a scrap piece of cardboard and removed random areas of it's surface.
I then added heavy white gesso sparingly in some areas and heavier in others leaving parts of the corrugate bare. Once dry I went over entire area with clear gesso.
using a stencil and coarse texture paste I added the design on either side. Once that dries completely use a script stamp and various others to randomly add on top. Let dry completely!
I used another stencil to add another layer using texture paste. A piece of antique lace was tacked in the middle and outlined with two strips of jute rope.
A part of a chipboard frame was painted with Art Anthology gemstones in Blue Topaz and Metal Effects in Gold. I adhered it to one side. At this step the ends of the jute were frayed.
Next choose the Colorations sprays you desire and randomly spray drying in between color changes. I used Juicy,Grass,Avocado,Ink Spot, and Rustic.
Add your florals, embellishments, and focal point piece like the butterfly here. I then swiped white gesso lightly in some areas and over florals.
Then to complete add a sentiment such as this!
Thanks for watching my tutorial. I hope it inspires you to create this project for yourself or as a great gift for someone!!
