We'll start by covering the small notebook.

From the Run For Roses paper, cut a 4 1/8" x 5 5/8".

From the Elegance Running paper, cut a piece 3 5/8" x 5 1/4". You'll also need to cut a dark green piece of cardstock that's found in the patterns & solids, it will need to be cut to 3 7/8" x  5 1/2"

From the Equestrian Style paper, cut the blue diamond border out. Cut the border to 4 1/8". From the same piece of paper, cut the Off to the Races border out. Cut the border to 4 1/8".

Edge distress and ink the edges of the patterned paper, stamps, lady image, borders and arrow using a blending tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Ink the edges of the roses and the rose attached to the horseshoe using a blending tool and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.

Adhere the rose paper to the front of the notebook. Adhere the dark green paper to the rose paper. Adhere the red damask paper to the dark green paper.

Adhere the doily in the middle of the red damask paper. Foam square the lady to the middle of the doily.

Adhere the Off to the Races border 1/4" from the bottom of the lady. Adhere the blue diamond border slightly over the bottom of the Off to the Races border.

Adhere 3 stamps in the top right corner underneath the lady. Roll the corner down or up  on each stamp. Adhere 1 stamp in the bottom right corner overtop of the lady. Roll the top corner down.

Foam square the rose with the horseshoe, the rose with two leaves and one single rose in the top right hand corner as desired.

Adhere the arrow 3/4" from the left of the rose paper. Foam square the rest of the roses in the bottom left hand corner as desired. Once the roses are adhered, add the ornate key underneath the arrow.

To finish the notebook, add the NOTES word to the arrow in the bottom left hand corner. Your first covered notebook is complete.

Take two rose journaling cards from the Ephemera package.

From the Chipboard 1 package, take out the large frame with round insert. Make sure both pieces stay together.

From the Run for Roses paper, fussy cut 2 small white roses, 2 small red roses, 2 set of three roses with leaves, 1 single rose with leaves, 2 roses with horseshoes, 3 white roses and 2 single roses.

Adhere blue/rose paper to the front of the notebook. Adhere the 1 rose card 1" from the left and 1 3/4" from the top of the notebook. Adhere a 2 rose card 1 1/4" from the top and 5/8" from the right.

Adhere two postage stamps underneath the chipboard piece in the top right corner. Adhere the small horseshoe with rose beside the lady. Roll one of the corners either up or down on the stamps.

Foam square the rose with leaf, a set of three roses, two white roses and a medium red rose in the top right hand corner as desired, filling in the holes between the lady, stamps and chipboard piece.

Foam square the large rose with horseshoe, set of three roses, one small white rose and two small red roses as desired in the bottom left hand corner filling in the holes between the stamps.

Adhere an ornate key in the top left hand corner in amongst the roses. Adhere the second ornate key in the bottom right hand corner in amongst the roses.

To finish the notebook, add the NOTES word to the chipboard piece in the middle of your notebook. Your second covered notebook is complete.
