How to cook traditional cypriot okra

İm from an island called Cyprus and this is how it is done traditionally in cyprus. By the way okra is a quite slimey vegetable.

Cook about 190C for 30-40 minutes depending on your oven . Check periodically and take off when it goes darker i like mine crispy so i donr take them off until its a little burnt

İts best served with bulghur pilaf and yoghurt

  • Salt

  • Oil
  • Lemon juice
  • 1/2tsp Tomato paste
  • 1.0 Medium onion
  • 4.0 Medium or small tomatoes
  • A handful of parsley
