Take toor dal in a cooker.
Add water, little sunflower oil and turmeric...
...and cook for sometime.
Separately take tomatoes, onion, green chillies and coriander.
Cut the tomatoes, onion and chillies (into half). Also take little tamarind.
Add the chopped content to the dal and cook well this time.
Once cooked, mash the contents well to obtain a consistent mixture.
Heat oil. Add asafoetida and mustard seeds and fry until the mustard seeds begin to spurt.
Now very carefully add the mashed dal contents to this oil and heat for sometime and the dal curry is done. Goes well with rice.

- 1.0Tbsp Sunflower Oil
- 1.0pch Turmeric
- 6.0 Tomatoes
- 1.0 Onion
- 4.0 Green Chillies
- 0.0bnch Coriander Leaves
- 1.0Tbsp Salt (to taste)
- 1.0in Tamarind
