How to cook taiwan scallion pancakes (green onions)
The simple yet yummy snacks that are famous in Taiwan. This can be make in 15 minutes or less!!

INGREDIENTS
Pour 3 cups of flour into a big bowl
Mix it with 1 cup of hot water, 1/2 cup of cold water
Add the 1 tablespoon of oil into the flour mixture
And don't forget to add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to taste (or more according to your taste)
Mix the flour mixture until it form a dough. If it turn out too soft, you can always add a bit more flour
This step is OPTIONAL. You can leave the dough to rest for 20 mins (cover it with a damp cloth) or you can straight away cook this dough (next step)
Chopped your scallion (green onions)
This recipe ask for 1/2cup of scallion but you can always use more if you like (I preferably like more) ;)
•Next, divide the dough into small pieces/ ball. •Roll into a flat round shape. •Spread the chopped scallion on the middle and roll it back. *spread oil on your hands so the dough doesn't stick*
roll it and form into a flat circle like previously. This is so that the scallion will blend into the dough like this
• Pour a small amount of oil on the frying pan until its hot • put the pancakes into the frying pan and fry it • fry each side for few minutes. flip it so it cook on both side
Now you can enjoy your scallion pancakes! :D Eat it while its HOT. You can eat it alone or with light soysauce etc. Hope you like it :D
- 3.0c All purpose flour
- 1.0c Hot water
- 1/2c Cold water
- 1/2tsp Salt
- 1.0Tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2c Scallion (green onions)
