Why yes, that's chocolate. Good eye! After your meringues are dry, melt chocolate in a small bowl and evenly spread the back of the meringues. Place back on your sheet pan to set about 30 min.

Nothing left to do but enjoy! These do best when stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
