Cut in half. I put a towel down under the squash. It's tuff to cut, so be careful.
Scoop out the seeds and guts. Gut will be a darker in color than the meat. Tastes pretty bitter too. So get it all out.
Apply your seasonings. I used basil and oregano because I'm using spaghetti squash in place of spaghetti.
Place on cling wrap.
Put squash back together before wrapping. I've noticed it cook better this way.
All rolled up.
Nuke it for 6:00 minutes on high. 3:00 minutes per pound in the microwave.
Let stand at least 2 minutes before unwrapping. Lots of steam, and believe me it will burn you.
Scrap with a fork to get the meat out. I used a hand towel to hold the squash. Boy these thing hold there heat. Ouch
All scooped out. Eat like this or add spaghetti sauce. Either way its good stuff. Enjoy.
40 weeks later and we have one 9lb 12oz baby girl named Whitney Shannon. Insulin not needed, watched the diet eat lots of spaghetti squash.
