Remove frozen chicken breasts from freezer. Frozen works best - the meat turns out really moist.
Remove any plastic wrap and place in crockpot.
Pour in 1/2 cup water.
Cover with lid.
I usually set the crockpot on high for 4 hours.
When the time is up, this is what you should see. The fat melted away.... And the chicken is so tender and moist!
Picking off the remaining fat or gristle is easy. You can run a little water over it if you want. Get out any blood vessel spots, for sure!
Shred (pull it apart) it or leave in larger chunks. BBQ sauce shown above. Use it for taco meat (add seasoning and simmer in a little water), for sandwiches, casseroles, etc.
