How to cook ridiculously simple single serving cake

I know there are other single serve recipes for cake on here, so why do another one? Those required so many things that it seemed I may as well make a full cake! It's all about simplicity for me.

This recipe calls for two boxes of mix. Use one of any flavor you like, just one though!

The other box of mix MUST be angel food cake. It doesn't work correctly if you don't use this.

Put both boxes of cake mix into your gallon bag. You don't have to use that, I just find it easier to store that way. I did this a while back so I don't have a picture. It's self-explanatory.

I also keep a portion of the mix on my counter. What's the point if its not ready and waiting, right? This way when I'm craving a snack I eat to a small single serving of this vs. a big bag of chips.

The next step is the hard one. Are you ready?

3 Tablespoons of your mix...

...mixed with 2 Tablespoons of water. Whoo! That was hard right? Yup. That really was the hard part. I prefer to use the clear mugs that I got from Walmart so I can tell if I didn't mix well enough.

Microwave for 1 minute. Make sure you use a large mug because it tends to puff up and I don't know about you but I really don't like having to clean the microwave.

This is your finished product! Warm and fresh from the oven.

I prefer mine with whipped cream.

Some boxed cake mixes come with an expiration date. Pay attention to that please. This stuff makes quite a bit of mix so it'll last you a while. I only need to make mine every couple of months.
