How to cook quick & easy shepherd's pie

It's not gourmet - but it IS quick, simple & delicious!! This recipe feeds 6-8 and makes great leftovers!

Brown ground beef in large skillet. Feel free to add any seasonings you like.  I just added salt & pepper.

Heat through three 14.5 oz cans of sweet corn kernels.

Prepare instant mashed according to directions on package. I used Betty Crocker Creamy Butter style.

Drain ground beef of excess fat and layer in large baking dish. I am using a 13x9.

Drain liquid from corn and layer over ground beef.  Smooth with a spatula covering entire area.

Layer mashed potatoes over corn.  Spread evenly with a spatula to reach all corners. (Double tap for larger image)

Add 6 slices of American Cheese and pop in the oven.

Bake at 350 F for 20-30 minutes until cheese is melty and golden.
