INGREDIENTS
Brown short ribs in coconut oil, add to crock pot. I had seven ribs. Salt and pepper to taste.
This is a hand. I used three cloves from it. Slice or chop small.
Brown onion in coconut oil. Add three sliced cloves of garlic at the end. Add to crock pot.
I found the wine in the frig. Use a cup or two of wine if you have some.
Begin to fry apple slices in coconut oil. I used two red delicious. Add remaining ingredients. Boil.
Cook the mixture down 1/4th.
As the apple slices soften, mash them.
When the liquid cooks down about 1/4 th, pour into slow cooker.
Slow cook 8-9 hours. Meat should be nearly covered with liquids.
Strain liquid through cheesecloth for next crockpot or stew.
They were so good, we ate some before I remembered to take the finished picture.
- 7.0 Grass Fed Beef Short Ribs (or what you have)
- Coconut oil to fry
- 1.0 Onion chopped (Vidalia)
- 2.0 Apple cored sliced
- 60.0ml Wine (Optional)
- 1/4c Coconut aminos
- 1/4c Braggs liquid aminos
- 3.0 Garlic cloves
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1.0tsp Chili powder
- 1.0c Apple Cider vinegar
- 1.0Tbsp Frank's redhot sauce
