Chop or mince onion finely. Sauté 10 minutes, adding 1-2 TBLS water as needed to prevent sticking.
Purée tomatoes in a blender.
Mince herbs and garlic (I used a magic bullet)
Add herbs and garlic to the onions and sauté 3 minutes more.
Stir in puréed tomatoes.
Simmer over medium-low heat for 25 minutes, covered. During the last 10 minutes partially uncover the pot so it thickens.
Mmmmm. Use it on pasta, veggies, or any recipe that calls for tomato sauce.

- 6.0 Garlic cloves
- 1.0 Medium yellow onion
- 6.0Tbsp Chopped basil
- 2.0Tbsp Oregano
