How to cook mushroom congee

In my experience, there's nothing simpler and comforting than congee. It's basically rice cooked with a lot of liquid until it form cream porridge. It's remind me of home especially if I'm sick.

Add mushroom in it. Saut\u00e9ed it over medium heat and at the very end, drizzle then with soy sauce.

Continue to simmer until the broth thicken like porridge. Add salt, pepper, and fish sauce in it. Remember to pick up the scum.

Serve immediately. Add crushed peanut and fried garlic in it.

  • 10.0c Of water or stock
  • 3.0 Kinds of mushroom
  • 4.0Tbsp Oil
  • 2.0Tbsp Soy sauce
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Fish sauce

  • Optional: fried garlic and crushed peanut
