INGREDIENTS
Souk the lentil half an hour before
Put the water in pot and put the lentil in
My tomatoes were left in freezer so had to peel, but you can use fresh ones
Cut the onion in cubes, frankly the cutting doesn't matter in this recipe π
Garlic paste
The spices that I'll use, in supplies I forgot to write about cumin seeds & black pepper
Put everything in pot and let the heat do its work π
After half an hour lentil will be Nicely cooked with all spices, for an extra touch blend it like purΓ©e
Now for the TARKA π cut the chillies right from the middle and fill them with the mixture of salt,dry coriander,and chaat masala( easily found in Asian store
In another pan put oil and butter( desi ghee) and put in curry leaves, whole dry red chillies, and filled green chillies and once all fried lil, pour in the mixture
Tadaaaaaππππ all done, serve with rice , chapati, or have it as soup.... Enjoy
- 250 gram yellow lentil
- 1 large onion
- 2 tomato
- 4-5 green chilly
- 1 tbsp Ginger garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp red chile powder
- 1 tsp dry coriander
- 1 chicken cube
- Salt to taste
