Once it has shrunk down in size and softens up you can mix it easily now.

Once it's mixed just cook for a few more minutes to soften the kale stems and ribs a bit more. No need to over cook the kale to mush, I like it with a bit of bite still

Mmmmmmmm this dish is so fresh and flavorful, I think in going to scoop out some leftovers right now.
