Chop as shown above
Put cumin seeds n asafetida in hot oil
Let onion, garlic n green chilly sauté for 2 min
Add 5 tablespoon tomato puree
Mix black eyed peas, red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder and salt as per taste
Add 3 cups of water and 1 tsp butter, cover the lid and let it cook in steam for 10 minutes.
Serve it hot with bread or rice!!
