Mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce,lemon juice, sugar and chopped garlic in a bowl. Adjust to taste. Coat the salmon fillet pieces SKIN SIDE UP with the marinade. Chill for 1 hour.

Arrange the salmon pieces SKIN SIDE DOWN on the low rack on top of the lined aluminium pan. Glaze with a little of the marinade.

Broil until salmon turns opaque throughout, but still pink inside. Takes about 8 - 10 minutes depending on the thickness of the salmon and the heat of your broiler.
