How to cook easy spicy chicken curry
This is a less prep tasty and spicy chicken curry dish that my family loves and is a hit amongst my friends. Hope u like it too :)

INGREDIENTS
Pierce chicken with a knife or fork and make small cuts so the marinade goes into the meat. Add Yogurt, ginger garlic paste, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, lime juice, coriander and cumin powder.
Mix all the marinade ingredients well on the chicken and keep it aside for 1 hour
Chop onions.
Add oil generously to a heavy bottomed pan
Add clove, cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf, cumin, onions and green chilies and stir well. Add salt to the onions
Tip: Adding salt to the onions helps it sweat and brown quickly
After its nice and brown like this
Add chicken and mix well. Add a cup of water cover with a lid and cook on a less than medium flame
This is how it looks after 15 mins
Cook it well the the meat is all tender and falling off of the Bone
Add chopped cilantro and coriander and mix well
Serve it with hot steamed rice. Enjoy :)
We wanted to serve this with less gravy but if you want more gravy just add some water till you get desired consistency and let it simmer for a while :)
The best part about this dish is that you can adjust ingredient measurements as per your taste and it still tastes delicious :)
- 2.0 Pounds chicken
- For marinade:
- 1/2 Cup yogurt
- 1/2 Tsp ginger paste
- 1/2 Tsp garlic paste
- 2.0 Tsp red chilli powder
- 1/2 Tsp turmeric
- 1.0 Tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 Tsp cumin powder
- 3.0 Tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 Tsp garam masala powder
- Salt to taste
- For cooking:
- Oil
- 3.0 Cups finely chopped onion
- 2.0 Slit green chillis
- 2.0 Inch cinnamon stick
- 4.0 Cloves
- 1.0 Cardamom pod
- 1/2 Tsp cumin
- 1.0 Bay leaf
