Cook Chicken Meatballs in Mushroom and Basil Sauce
99
STEPS
INGREDIENTS
This is a mouth watering dish combining meatballs, mushrooms and basil with a touch of paprika - served on pasta or rice.
Lets get all the ingredients ready for the sauce - 2 onions, handful of basil leaves, mushrooms, 2 garlic cloves, paprika, salt & pepper
Chop the two onions
Slice up all the mushrooms
Olive oil in
Fry the onions until softened and clear
Add in the mushrooms
Add in basil, garlic, paprika, salt & pepper
Close the lid and let the mushrooms cook for a few minutes until softened, medium heat
Let prepare the chicken mix - minced chicken, a few chopped basil leaves, 2 garlic cloves, bread crumbs (I use Panko personally), 1 grated onion, salt & pepper
Grate the onion and add it in the mix
Stir well
By now the sauce should smell and look amazing - give it a quick taste
Add a half to a cup of water to the sauce - don't put too much, see picture in the next slide
Create golf ball size meatball from the chicken mix and set in the sauce
Cook on low heat for 45 minutes. If you need add in some water as you go
