Wash and trim green beans

Chop onion and garlic

Sauté onions in olive oil in a cast iron skillet until translucent

Add canned tomatoes, green beans, herbs, spices and garlic. Add olives if you chose to. (Olive Are great in this. I just didn't have any today!)

Bring everything to a boil then turn down to low for a simmer. Cover and simmer

Let simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Green beans should just melt in your mouth! You can cook them to your liking but I think they are extra delicious at an hour

Once ready, serve and enjoy!
