INGREDIENTS
1/2 Cabbage (chopped), Mustard seeds 1tsp, Turmeric powder 1tsp Chili 1-2 (chopped),Salt to taste Moong dal- 2 spoons (optional) (soaked in water)
Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan
Add 1tsp mustard seeds, wait till they splutter.
Add chopped chilli, i used one chili.
Add turmeric powder and salt.
Add chopped cabbage. Put half of the chopped cabbage, mix well, then add the remaining and mix. This way the cabbage is coated well in the spices.
Drain the water from the moong dal. This step is optional, if you don't want to add the dal, you can cook the cabbage as it is.
Add the soaked dal to the cabbage. Mix well.
Cover and let it cook for 5 mins. Then open the lid, stir the vegetable and let cook till all water has evaporated and the cabbage is cooked.
Cabbage bhaji is ready.
Served it with chapatti, baked fish and pickle.
