How to cook bbq grilled chicken and onions

This recipe is for BBQ grilled chicken. I made a sandwich out of it, but you can eat it without the buns. :)

Slice the onion.

Fillet the chicken breast so it will fit on a hamburger bun (if you are making a chicken burger) or you can cut the chicken into strips.

Grab the BBQ sauce. Pictured is a Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce I made using a modified version of a guide on here. If you want a store brand, I'd recommend bullseye. Yum!

Spoon 1 tsp on your chicken breast.

Take your hands or a brush and cover the chicken breast.

Throw the chicken and onions on the grill.

After 4 minutes, flip the chicken. You can tell it's ready because the edges will be white. When you flip the chicken, flip the onions as well. :)

I put additional BBQ sauce for extra flavor. Turn the temp to med-high and cook for 5 mins. When the internal temp reaches 165 Fahrenheit, it's done. If you want a sandwich, continue to the next step.

At this point, I added cheese on top of the chicken.

Put the grilled BBQ chicken on top of a sandwich bun and serve with your favorite side. Enjoy!
